This spring, I am planning on going tribal with ankle-wrapped wedges. What does this mean, you may ask. Well for my shoes this spring I want to go wild with my shoes. A trend that I have been seeing all over the runways for Spring 2010 is the tribal look. Bright colors, interesting patterns and just a very ethnic, raw vibe make this one of my most anticipated trend for shoes.

One runway show that really took this to a whole new level was at Thakoon. His shoes were strappy in all the right ways, and went up the ankle with a loose fit. The thin straps went in different directions, and had a very ethnic vibe. Givenchy also played around with the tribal trend, making the ankle-wrapped wedge completely wild in zig-zag prints. When I start incorporating this trend into my spring wardrobe, I can’t wait to play with fringe, bright colors and beading.
